‘They work hard’: Northeast Ohio pizza shop praised for its Labor Day pay

FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio (WJW) — This Labor Day, a Lake County pizza shop is making sure its employees feel appreciated for their hard work serving up slices to customers.

According to a post on Rego’s Brickhouse Pizza Facebook page, at the end of business Monday, Regos’ staff will split all sales evenly.

“No matter if it’s credit or cash. At the end of the shift we will cash them out, thank them, and appreciate them. They work hard,” the post said.

People in the comments are praising Rego’s, with many saying they plan to place an order to show their support.

The post went on to encourage other business owners to consider a similar practice, and asked customers to show love to the staff by ordering food from the pizza shop.

Also mentioned in the post is that while many corporate restaurants give their employees small discounts on food while they’re on the clock, Rego’s has a 100% discount for its staff.

Rego’s Brickhouse Pizza is located at 325 New Fourth St. in Fairport Harbor. Labor Day hours are 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
