Harlan Coben shares exciting update on new Netflix series
Harlan Coben is keeping the new shows coming, and the popular author has just shared an update on upcoming series Caught (Atrapados).
Based on another of his novels, the Netflix production has been filming in Buenos Aires and Bariloche – and Coben has now confirmed it will be out on the streaming service next year.
Sharing the update with fans on X/Twitter, Coben addressed Argentina and "everyone else" and said he was "thrilled" to be sharing the news.
The series will star Soledad Villamil (The Secret in Their Eyes) as the central character of Ema Garay, as well as Alberto Ammann (Narcos) and Juan Minujín.
Matías Recalt, who previously starred in one of Netflix's most-watched movies, Society of the Snow, will also appear.
The synopsis for Caught/Atrapados reads: "Reporter Ema Garay gains visibility amongst digital journalism by catching criminals who tend to evade justice in Bariloche city, in Patagonia Argentina.
"Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Leo Mercer, a social worker and referent, who ends up being the main suspect of her investigation on the disappearance of a 16 year old girl. While Ema tries to discover the truth, she will have to confront herself."
This production is another to come from the ongoing creative partnership between the best-selling author and streaming giant Netflix.
Coben's series Missing You, which will once again see Richard Armitage and James Nesbitt starring, is also on the way – with Fool Me Once's Armitage guessing at another January release (although this is yet to be officially announced).
Filming pictures have already teased what's in store from the twisty drama, with a first look at Top Boy star Ashley Walters' character alongside co-star Rosalind Eleazar, who will lead the cast as Detective Kat Donovan.
EastEnders' Jessica Plummer, Lenny Henry (Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Steve Pemberton (Inside No.9) and Paul Kaye (Sexy Beast) have also joined the cast.
Caught (Atrapados) and Missing You are coming to Netflix.
