Harper’s Restaurant in SouthPark to close in July after over 30 years in the area

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A restaurant that has been in SouthPark for more than 30 years is closing its doors at the end of July.

Harper’s Restaurant located at 6518 Fairview Road in Charlotte, across from the SouthPark Mall, announced on social media that its final day in business in SouthPark will be July 20, 2024.

“With the help of hundreds of associates with incredible hospitality that work with us today and have worked with us over the years, we first and foremost say thank you,” the restaurant said. “We are incredibly thankful to every single one of you who have dined with us here since 1992 and at our Woodlawn Road location since 1987 when we began.”

Mecklenburg ABC Board members are getting a raise

The restaurant has been in the SouthPark area for 32 years and in Charlotte for 35 years.

“We wish we could stay this is our decision, but it’s not. Though we had hoped and wanted to stay for at least another few years, the property owners have something else they would like to put on our plot of land, leaving us without a choice. We hope this is not the end of the road for Harper’s in Charlotte, but we don’t know just yet,” the restaurant shared.

The restaurant said you can still find Harpers in Greensboro, in the Friendly Center. There’s also several sister stations in Charlotte including Mimosa Grill, Taco Molino, and One Catering.
