Harris-Shapiro endorsed by Philadelphia Democratic party for the 2024 ticket
(WHTM) — A group of Democrats have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Josh Shapiro to be the Democratic nominee for Vice President on the 2024 ticket.
The Philadelphia Democratic Party (PHLDems) announced their decision Monday, saying in a news release that the vote among them was unanimous.
“I am proud to have Joe Biden as a friend – he has put party and country before himself for decades. And I’m excited to support Kamala Harris for President who I know will fight for the people,” Chair of PHLDems and Retired Congressman (PA-1) Bob Brady said.
Harris and Shapiro were both Attorneys General in their respective states, though their terms did not line up by just a few days. Shapiro has remarked multiple times that he and Harris, whom he’s endorsed, have known each other for nearly 20 years.
