‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT’: Trump Is Big Mad That Star Endorsed Harris

Donald Trump is furious. “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” he posted to Truth Social on Sunday morning, days after the star endorsed Kamala Harris.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post that went live after Tuesday’s debate and did not attack Trump. She concluded her post with the sign off “Childless Cat Lady” — trolling Trump’s running-mate J.D. Vance, who has complained that the country is being run by “a bunch of childless cat ladies.”

In a statement Sunday dripping with Swift references, Harris-Walz spokesperson Sarafina Chitika said in response to Trump’s Truth Social post, “Donald Trump’s week of whining and spouting conspiracy theories has voters on both sides of the aisle ready to Forget That He Existed. The American people want to be Out of the Woods of the chaos and division of the Trump era, leave behind the Blank Space of Trump’s broken promises, and Begin Again by electing Vice President Harris to ensure America’s future of opportunity is Long Lived.”

Chitika continued, “Voters know All Too Well how dangerous Trump and his Project 2025 agenda will be if he wins. This November, we can make sure this is The Last Time we have to deal with his End Game of jacking up taxes on the middle class and ripping away Americans’ freedoms. Together, we can turn the page on the Trump Era and write a new chapter where all Americans Breathe easy knowing we have strong, steady leadership at the helm. We can make sure The Story of Us is one of progress—and show Donald Trump we are not going Back to December of 2020. Like ever.”

This is not the first time Trump reacted to Swift’s endorsement, which sent more than 400,000 people to vote.gov. When asked about his feelings about it last week, Trump said, “I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better,” referring to Swift’s friend, Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has liked several pro-Trump posts on social media.

“I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump continued. “It was just a question of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden. But she’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat — and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

Trump may not be a fan of Swift’s, but he is apparently a fan of her merch. Trump released a campaign t-shirt with his image that copied a design from Swift’s Eras tour.

One reason Swift said she publicly endorsed Harris was because Trump shared an AI-generated image of her. “Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” she wrote. “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”
