Head-on collision kills Moneta man in Bedford County
BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police say they are investigating a two-vehicle head-on collision that killed a Moneta man in Bedford County on July 7.
According to VSP, at 5:10 p.m. on Sunday, 52-year-old Bryant Wheeler Whitby of Moneta was driving south in a 2022 Honda Accord on Hardy Road near Turner Branch Road when he entered the northbound lane and hit a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado.
Three hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash in Galax
Mr. Whitby was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to the hospital and treated for injuries received in the crash.
Police say the crash remains under investigation. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
