Hillary Clinton proves her strength by opening a pickle jar
Hillary Clinton is firing back at rumors she’s not healthy enough for the White House. She even opened a jar of pickles to prove her strength.
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night, Clinton said questions about her health raised by Donald Trump and his supporters have pushed the campaign into an “alternate universe.”
“I have to step into the alternative reality, answer questions about am I alive, how much longer will I be alive,” Clinton told Kimmel.
Kimmel checked Clinton’s pulse to make sure she is, in fact, alive. He also had her complete a true feat of strength — opening a jar of pickles.
Clinton, 68, has released a letter from a doctor who said she has cared for her since 2001 and concluded that the candidate is in “excellent physical condition.” Trump, 70, has released a letter penned by a doctor who said he has cared for the candidate since 1980. That letter asserts that Trump would be the healthiest person ever elected president.
Clinton said the claims she’s suffering from a variety of ills fall into a broader strategy from the Trump campaign.
“I think on the one hand, it’s part of the wacky strategy — just say all these crazy things and maybe you can get some people to believe you,” Clinton told Kimmel. “On the other hand, it just absolutely makes no sense.”
She added that she doesn’t have any questions about Trump’s health: “Far as I can tell, he’s as healthy as a horse.”
