Holloway, Kauffman, Miller nominated for Middlebury council
May 7—MIDDLEBURY — Mike Holloway, Kent R. Kauffman, Kevin R. Miller were the three winners in Tuesday's primary race for three seats on Middlebury Town Council member at-large.
Holloway received 392 votes , Kauffman 353, and Miller 322. Jeremy Yahwak came in fourth with 309.
Holloway, 62, was elected to the council in 2023, resulting from a population change which required a special election, and thus is now looking toward his first full term.
"I'm just very grateful that the people of Middlebury feel I can be of service," Holloway said by telephone Tuesday. "I love this town and look forward to being able to serve my neighbors."
Holloway also said that he wants to work to ensure that the growth of Middlebury is "organic."
"We want to maintain the small town charm Middlebury is known for," he added.
Phone calls to Kauffman and Miller were not returned by press time.
