Hollygrove drug, gun bust leads to three arrests

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Three people were arrested after a drug and gun bust in the Hollygrove area on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

The New Orleans Police Department reported that 25-year-old Roy Hilton, 21-year-old Raheem Brown and 22-year-old Royce Wilson were arrested after officers saw seven people allegedly moving guns between cars in the 2900 block of Hamilton Street.
According to the NOPD, “initially five people were detained, and three were ultimately arrested.”
Hilton faces two counts of illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of negligent carrying of a concealed handgun and possession of a machine gun.

Brown faces charges of negligent carrying of a concealed handgun, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, illegal carrying of a weapon while in the possession of narcotics, two charges of schedule II drugs including fentanyl and possession of drugs in a drug-free zone.
Wilson faces two counts of drug possession and possession of drugs in a drug-free zone.
