Homicide victim found dead in motel parking lot identified
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The man who was found in the parking lot of a motel in NE Portland over the weekend was identified by authorities on Tuesday.
The Portland Police Bureau Medical Examiner determined that 25-year-old Donte Mathis died of homicide by gunshot wound.

Just before midnight on Saturday, officers responded to a shooting in the 3600 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue. On arrival, they found a man, later identified as Mathis, dead in the motel parking lot.
Any possible suspects had left the scene before police were called and no arrests have been made, officials say.
