“Hot Mugshot Guy” Jeremy Meeks Hangs Out With Anwar Hadid, Brother of Gigi and Bella

Ex-con and next-level hottie Jeremy Meeks is making friends in high places. In the California native’s latest Instagram picture, he’s posing with fellow model and celeb by pedigree Anwar Hadid — the 16-year-old brother of Gigi and Bella.

And on the Meeks Twitter account, the blue-eyed cutie tweeted a second picture: a repost from fashion photographer and talent manager Jim Jordan, who included the caption, “Proud of these two” — suggesting Meeks and Anwar are possibly collaborating.

Meeks, with his tiny teardrop tattoo, became an unlikely heartthrob — and the face that launched a thousand memes — when his jaw-dropping mugshot went viral in 2014. In response to the sudden fame, his mother launched a (now-deleted) GoFundMe page, in which she tried to clear her son’s name, confirming that he has a job and no gang affiliations (as he was accused of), according to People.

He was subsequently arrested on weapons charges for possessing a semiautomatic handgun; he had previously been arrested for grand theft auto. Meeks was released in March after serving a little more than year, according to the Los Angeles Times. Having stayed out of trouble so far, he seems determined to walk the straight and narrow — directly into a possibly lucrative modeling career.

Soon after he was free, the handsome bad boy landed a modeling contract with White Cross Management, according to People. And in June, he released his first professional headshot on Instagram, a swoonworthy close-up in which he rocks a Golden State Warriors snapback hat and gives the same steely gaze that had the sent the Internet into a frenzy a few years before (dude knows how work the camera).

Meeks’s new friend Hadid, on the other hand, signed with IMG models, the same agency as his famous older sisters, earlier this year, according to the Daily Mail. IMG’s website features an already prolific portfolio of the photogenic teen, who has graced the cover of Teen Vogue several times and posed for ad campaigns but doesn’t seem to have walked a runway yet. Hadid and his genetically blessed siblings inherited their looks in part from mom Yolanda, a former Ford model.

It’s unclear where Meeks gets his chiseled good looks from (heaven, perhaps? His brother seems equally blessed), or whether he has landed any campaigns or fashion shows yet, but a gig with Hadid and Jordan is nothing to sneeze at. We can only daydream about what’s next for the hot husband and dad (yes, he’s married and has two mini-me sons, who are, of course, adorable).

Fashion Week in New York, Milan, or London, perhaps? We know Meeks sizzles in photos, and we’ll admit: We’d love to see how he walks a runway.
