Houma police search for man accused of raping 7-year-old

HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — The Houma Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of raping a child.
Houma police posted to social media that they were searching for 44-year-old Pedro Calix after a 7-year-old girl reported the crime alleging Calix was her attacker.
Threat made toward Covington school deemed not credible, juvenile released
Through an investigation, detectives discovered the incident happened on multiple occasions.
In an attempt to locate Calix, officers learned of him fleeing the area and issued a warrant for his arrest on a charge of first-degree rape.
