Houma teen arrested, accused of shooting brother during argument

HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — A 17-year-old is in the custody of the Houma Police Department after allegedly shooting his brother during an argument on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
The HPD reported that officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 2600 block of Isabel Street around 4:20 p.m., where they found a 30-year-old man who had been shot.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

At the scene, HPD officers said they took 17-year-old Colby Jackson into custody.
Through an investigation, officers said they learned Jackson and the victim were involved in an argument when Jackson “discharged a firearm in the direction of the victim, striking him in the leg. “
According to the HPD, Jackson and the victim were brothers.
Five arrested following Montegut-area drug bust
Jackson was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on charges of obstruction of justice and aggravated second-degree battery.
