3 QUESTIONS
...about Southern beach vacays
Anthony talked to Alexandrea Sumuel Groves, travel writer and founder of Wander With Alex, about the best Southern beaches to visit.
Anthony: What’s a good beach destination where I can find some peace and tranquility?
Alexandrea: I’d have to say New Smyrna Beach in Florida! This laid-back beach town has few crowds, drivable beaches and amazing kayaking with manatees at Cape Canaveral.
Anthony: What about if I’m looking for a romantic getaway?
Alexandrea: My husband and I loved our romantic getaway to Hilton Head, S.C. Not only was it super-relaxing, but the scenery was stunning, the fine dining was exquisite and there were couples adventures.
Anthony: Do you know of any family-friendly destinations?
Alexandrea: I certainly do! North Carolina’s Brunswick Islands offer clean beaches, colorful vacation rentals and plenty of activities for kids — no high-rises or party scenes here!
Want more travel recommendations? Alexandrea has plenty.
