Human remains found during search for missing Kansas man, murder suspected: KBI
MARSHALL COUNTY (KSNT) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) reports human remains have been found in their search for a missing Blue Rapids man.
The KBI issued a press release Thursday, July 11 stating investigators found human remains in rural Marshall County around 5:30 p.m. on July 10. KBI agents and local deputies found the remains in an area northwest of Waterville near Sunflower Road and 2nd Road.
These remains are believed to belong to the missing 36-year-old Camoran M. Shoptese. KBI agents have found evidence indicating he was murdered. Investigators say there is no indication of any threat existing towards the community in relation to this case. A person of interest is in custody on unrelated charges.
