Huntsville police officers looking for suspect after Powell Drive shooting leaves one injured

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) says one person is injured and police are looking for another person believed to be involved after an incident Thursday.

An HPD Spokesperson said officers responded to a shooting on Powell Drive Thursday and found one person with non-life-threatening injuries.

The department said the victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital.

HPD said officers were working to locate the possible offender in the area as of 7:31 p.m.

A News 19 crew on the scene saw police using a K-9 unit to aid in the search.
