Husband shoots, kills two dogs attacking his wife, Addis police chief says
ADDIS, La. (BRPROUD) — A man shot and killed two dogs that were attacking his wife Tuesday night.
The Addis Police Department responded to a call about a shooting around 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 at a home in the 4600 block of Eudora Drive.
During the investigation, officers learned that two “aggressive” dogs were shot. The dogs were owned by the man and woman who owned the home officers responded to, according to Addis Police Chief Jason Langlois.
Langlois said due to the dogs being aggressive, the man shot and killed both outside. He said the dogs looked like mixed breeds and were bigger dogs.
He said Acadian Ambulance did respond to the scene and the woman was transported to an area hospital to be checked out.
Langlois said the shooting was self-defense and there were no arrests.
