Iconic Batmobiles and Evel Knievel’s famous Skyrocket at World of Wheels
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Custom cars, classic rides, metallic paint jobs and lots of chrome can be seen at the 64th annual World of Wheels at Bartle Hall this weekend.
More than 700 vehicles of every make, model and year line the giant event space.
According to World of Wheels officials, its the first time at any car show that all five iconic batmobiles are in one place.

From the 1960’s Adam West series to Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck’s more updated versions of the crime-fighting machine that served the citizens of Gotham City.
Also, for the first time, three of stuntman-extraordinaire Evel Knievel’s original vehicles, including the rocket that crashed on his stunt over the Snake River Canyon in 1974. It will be 50 years old in September.
Saturday afternoon there will be a celebrity appearance from Noel Gugliemi who played Hector in the first installment of The Fast and the Furious (2001).
Organizers say this is one of the most exciting car shows they’ve hosted in 64 years in Kansas City.

Several times a day, the show hosts a group of stunt motorcyclists who put on a spectacular show.
“They almost touched the ceiling. They jump and flip and go from ramp to ramp and do somersaults in the air,” event organizer, Larry Way said.
“When the bikes start, they are smart. They drive around a bit and people hear the noise and zoom over there and wherever you are in the show, you can see them and people running down the aisles. It’s a pretty cool show.”
World of Wheels continues Saturday evening until 9 p.m. and then runs till 6 p.m. on Sundays. You can get discounted tickets at all O’Reilly Auto Parts stores in the metro.
