Investigation into car thefts in Livingston Parish leads to arrest of Denham Springs man
LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — A recent investigation into vehicle burglaries by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office ended with the arrest of a Denham Springs man.
Lewis Lemon, 34 of Denham Springs was arrested and processed into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
LPSO Uniform Patrol deputies and LPSO burglary detectives were called around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 23 to the Acadian Trace Subdivision off of James Chapel North Road in Albany in connection to several thefts and vehicle burglaries.
During their investigation, deputies found video surveillance that showed Lemon wearing red shoes and a black tank top, according to Sheriff Jason Ard. Deputies also discovered a gas-powered bike, which was concealed by bushes in the back of the subdivision.

According to Ard, LPSO placed surveillance in the area. They were able to locate Lemon as he was attempting to escape the area on foot. Ard stated, “A perimeter was established and our LPSO K9 partners were called in.”
Deputies located Lemon in a field hiding under a log pile. Ard stated that Lemon was arrested by K9.
This is an ongoing investigation.
