Investigation underway after two injured in Decatur gas station shooting

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — Two people were injured after being shot at a Chevron gas station in Decatur on Sunday.

According to the Decatur Police Department (DPD), officers responded to a Chevron gas station located at 1029 Danville Rd. SW around 8:43 p.m. regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found two people who had been shot. DPD says that both people were taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

DPD tells News 19 that an occupied vehicle and an occupied home were also hit by gunfire.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Decatur Police Department.
