When is JD Vance speaking at the RNC?

U.S. Sen. JD Vance, the newly announced GOP vice presidential candidate, will take the stage at Fiserv Forum for the first time Wednesday night.

Like former President Donald Trump, Vance has made appearances at the Republican National Convention on Monday and Tuesday, but has not yet formally addressed delegates.

However, the Ohio senator has been keeping busy: earlier Wednesday, he spoke to an RNC crowd at Discovery World and shared his reaction to Saturday's assassination attempt on Trump. Vance reiterated the message of national unity that the GOP has adopted this week in the wake of the assassination attempt.

"The media keeps on saying they want somebody to tone down the temperature. Well, Donald Trump got shot and he toned down the temperature," Vance said. "That's what a real leader does."

Vance's speech Wednesday night will be preceded by an address from his wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance.

Vance is scheduled to take the stage at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and will be the last speaker of the night.
