Joe Rogan has endorsed Donald Trump for president.

The powerful podcaster tweeted out his endorsement on Monday night, after posting the full-length clip of the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, which features a conversation with billionaire oligarch Elon Musk.

“The great and powerful @elonmusk. If it wasn’t for him we’d be fucked. He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way,” Rogan tweeted on X. “For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump. Enjoy the podcast.”

Also on Monday night, Musk, in a post on X, canceled a planned pro-Trump town hall Q&A and directed his followers to his conversation with Rogan.

Rogan had previously been a vocal supporter of third party candidate, and longtime JRE guest, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., although he never officially endorsed him for president. On Aug. 8, said that Kennedy was “the only one that makes sense to me.” The following day, Trump attacked Rogan on Truth Social, writing, “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024.”

On Aug. 23, Kennedy dropped out and endorsed Trump.

There was speculation that Rogan would endorse Kamala Harris and the podcaster worked hard to get both candidates to appear on JRE, with both campaigns open to the idea as they pushed a strategy to appear on more podcasts rather than solely commit to traditional sit-down interviews with newspapers and TV networks.

On Oct. 26, Trump appeared on JRE, and had a long and rambling three-hour conversation with Rogan. Harris hasn’t appeared on JRE, although Rogan claimed efforts were made. Last week, he issued a rare statement about the behind-the-scenes negotiations for a podcast guest, posting a comment about why Harris hasn’t appeared on his show.

Rogan said Harris’ team wanted Rogan to fly out to New York to interview the presidential candidate, and that their interview would be restricted to one hour.

“For the record, the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast,” Rogan said in a comment on X. “They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin. My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen.”
