Johnson City Police Department seeking tips after large fight downtown

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) is asking for the public’s help regarding a large fight in downtown Johnson City on Sept. 1.

The fight happened early morning on Sept. 1 outside Diablo’s Mexican Bar & Grill (216 E Main St), Johnson City Police Crime Stoppers reported.

The JCPD reports officers were called to the scene around 12:11 a.m. When they arrived three minutes later, officers found no active fights in progress, according to the department.

The JCPD consulted with the district attorney’s office and launched an investigation. Since the incident, police reports some victims have come forward. The JCPD asks any other victims to do the same.
