Dan Jansen and Chris Witty are both Winter Olympians who attended West Allis Central. Jansen was a gold medalist speedskater. The Pettit National Ice Center, a training site for the U.S. speedskating team, is located on the state fairgrounds in West Allis.

Chellsie Memmel also went to West Allis Central before becoming a 2005 world champion gymnast. She now serves as technical lead of USA Women's Gymnastics while also teaching gymnastics in New Berlin.
