Kamala Harris is ready to be president. Her life story and achievements are two reasons

The next president of the United States of America must be a person that has the professional and personal experience to lead this country into the future.

That person must understand the history of this country, foreign policy, social justice, societal issues, the implementation of inclusion and the ability to envision a country that lives up to its promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Vice President Kamala Harris meets all these requirements. She has grown up in an America that does not consistently treat all its citizens the same.

She is one of the individuals that became a part of the solution. She navigated through a system that systemically required her to be several times better than her counterparts to succeed.

She has accomplished all of this and then was recognized by the candidate for president as the best future president of our country. She has not benefited from any real or perceived privilege but forged her own path and has demonstrated a deep love and respect for our country.

My late father always gave me advice, but his most important advice was the following: You were born Black and female. You cannot use either as a reason for success or failure.

Vice President Kamala Harris has also lived up to that because she has obtained an exemplary education, professional experience and abided by and upheld the laws and values of the constitution of the United States of America.
