Kamala Harris to return to Wisconsin Friday, same day as Trump rally at Fiserv Forum
Vice President Kamala Harris will return to Wisconsin on Friday, the same day that former President Donald Trump will hold a rally at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
The competing appearances will mark the second time in this final week before the election that Harris and Trump will both be in this key swing state on the same day to make their closing pitches to voters.
The push comes as both campaigns are focusing intense attention on battleground Wisconsin, where they are locked in a dead heat, according to an exclusive new USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll. The Marquette Law School will release its final Wisconsin poll before the election Wednesday.
Harris campaign Chair Jen O'Malley Dillon announced Harris' visit during a Tuesday press call.
"She's going to be out there hitting all of our battleground states in the final days," O'Malley Dillon said, adding that Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, would also be on the road.
It wasn't immediately clear where Harris would visit in Wisconsin, how many events she would hold and whether those would be rallies or smaller gatherings.
On Wednesday, Harris plans to hold a Get Out the Vote rally at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with performances by Gracie Abrams, Mumford & Sons, Remi Wolf, and The National’s Matt Berninger and Aaron Dessner, according to the campaign.
Trump, meanwhile, is expected to deliver remarks Wednesday evening at the Resch Center in the Green Bay suburb of Ashwaubenon along with Packers legend Brett Favre.
Surrogates and other members of the campaigns are also crisscrossing the state ahead of Election Day.
