Kate Middleton has ‘turned a corner’ with cancer treatment, says family friend
Kate Middleton has “turned a corner” with her cancer treatment in recent weeks and is feeling a lot better, according to a new report.
The Princess of Wales, 42, has remained largely out of the picture since revealing her diagnosis in a pre-recorded video in March.
But it seems as though time away from the public eye has been good for her, as the course of preventative chemotherapy has reportedly been successful.
“It has been a great relief that she is tolerating the medication and is actually doing a lot better,” the royal’s family friend told Vanity Fair.
“It has, of course, been a very challenging and worrying time. Everyone has rallied around her — William, her parents, and her sister and brother.”
Despite briefly returning to social media last week to share a project she’s been working on, sources tell the outlet that the mom of three is in no rush to return to her royal duties.
“There is no timeline, and there is certainly no hurry,” a source said. “It will be when Catherine feels ready and when she gets the greenlight from her medical team. But she will 100% be coming back to work, of that there is no question.”
According to insiders, Princess Catherine shared the work-related update because she wanted the public to see that she was doing okay.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Waleses last week shared a video highlighting the work Middleton has been carrying out behind closed doors.
While the mom of three doesn’t appear in the video, she and William, 41, contributed to its production.
It is believed that work on the farming project began before her diagnosis. She has reportedly been the “driving force” behind the charity.
It comes as the Princess was reportedly seen “out and about” with her family in recent days — though no images from the apparent outing have surfaced at this time.
Kensington Palace’s correspondence team revealed this week that they have been “so touched” by the outpouring love and support shown to the Princess since news of her health woes came to light.
