Anticipation is building around who will be the running mate of Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris and some of the names circling are Pennsylvania Governor Joshua "Josh" Shapiro, Michigan’s governor Gretchen Whitmer and Kentucky's own Gov. Andy Beshear.
Beshear's name has been brought up on ever since President Joe Biden's debate against GOP nominee Donald Trump last month. The Kentucky governor was named in list including The New York Times and The Washington Post as a possible replacement for Biden on the Democratic ticket, The Courier Journal previously reported.
President Joe Biden dropped out of the race on July 21 and Vice President Kamala Harris is now running for president.
