Kool & the Gang bringing ‘Celebration’ to Wichita Riverfest

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Riverfest is bringing Kool & the Gang to this year’s big party on the river.

The legendary band will perform on Saturday, June 8, and will play many of their iconic hits: “Celebration,” “Cherish,” and “Jungle Boogie.”

In March, organizers announced the first concert for this year’s Riverfest. Hunter Hayes will perform on the first Saturday of the festival.

More concerts are being added and are expected to be announced soon.

The concerts are free with a Riverfest 2024 button. Buttons go on sale on April 16. They cost $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-11, and children 5 and under are free.

Admiral Windwagon Smith L announced for Riverfest 2024

Buttons can be purchased at the Wichita Festivals office at 444 E. William from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be no early bird pricing. Beginning May 3, QuikTrip will sell buttons at all locations in Wichita, Derby, and El Dorado.
