Lake Terrace Hall owners seeks permission to operate in Lakewood industrial zone
LAKEWOOD - The owners of Lake Terrace Hall, a 36,000-square-foot event space, want a permit from the township so the facility can continue to host events, despite being located in an area zoned for industrial uses.
KBS Mt. Prospect LLC's application is scheduled to be heard Monday night by the township Zoning Board of Adjustment.
The hearing is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood municipal building.
The venue, which is currently operating, can host up to 1,500 attendees and has 350 on-site parking spaces. It expects to host close to 300 events each year.
The building, located at 1690 Oak St., was once a vacant office building, but since 2016 it has been hosting weddings and other events.
