Lara Trump campaigned with far-right candidate and conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer
WASHINGTON – The president's daughter-in-law Lara Trump joined far-right congressional candidate and self-described "proud Islamophobe" Laura Loomer in a Florida campaign event.
Loomer is known for spreading baseless conspiracy theories and for her controversial posts.

She also self-describes as the “Most Banned Woman on the Planet” having been permanently barred from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Uber, Lyft, Paypal and Venmo, accused of using hate speech and being non-compliant with site rules.
The picture posted by Trump campaign’s Courtney Parella of Loomer and Lara Trump, also a campaign adviser for the president, additionally showed a lack of social distancing and face masks.
“[K]nocking doors, making calls, and training new volunteers—all to spread the President’s record of success with their fellow Floridians,” the tweet reads.

The Trump campaign told USA TODAY that "Lara Trump was in Florida to campaign for her father-in-law" and Loomer happened to be at one of several campaign stops that day.

Andrew Bates, director of Rapid Response for Democratic nominee Joe Biden, told USA TODAY that "Laura Loomer represents what any person seeking public office must disavow without hesitation: She is an exponent of Islamophobia and of dangerous, universally debunked conspiracy theories that the FBI has identified as terrorism threats.
"The Trump campaign's embrace of Loomer and her values is another in a ceaseless stream of urgent reminders that we must win this battle for the soul of our nation," he continued.
The president publicly congratulated Loomer after she defeated five other GOP opponents in the Republican primary last month, tweeting, "Great going Laura" and that she has "a great chance against a Pelosi puppet" come November, referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Loomer faces an uphill battle competing for Florida’s 21st seat, the District the president votes from. That district is rated by Ballotpedia as safely Democratic and Rep. Lois Frankel currently holds a healthy margin.

Giffords Courage, an anti-gun-violence group that is led by former Representative and gun violence survivor Gabrielle Giffords, asked, "This is who President Trump decides to campaign for?"
The group also pointed out Loomer has spread multiple conspiracies about some about mass shootings.
Laura Loomer insinuated the Parkland and Santa Fe school shootings were hoaxes and is a self-described "proud Islamophobe."

Loomer was banned from Twitter for making anti-Muslim remarks including calling for the widespread firing of Muslims and for Muslim congressional members to be jailed. She is one of the far-right candidates President Donald Trump has endorsed or shown support for in the past few weeks.
Last week, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a congressional candidate who has previously expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory, attended the president's nomination-acceptance speech during the Republican National Convention.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said last week the president hadn't done a "deep dive" into the views of Greene or Loomer before congratulating them.
Loomer has been supported by right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes, and longtime Republican political adviser and Trump ally Roger Stone, whose sentence the president recently commuted.
