Last call to eat at beloved NE Ohio restaurant after more than 50 years in business

BROOK PARK, Ohio (WJW) – There is only one day left to dine at a beloved pizza restaurant in Northeast Ohio after it announced it’s closing in June.
Donte’s Restaurant and Pizza Shop has been serving customers in Brook Park for more than 50 years.

The restaurant made the closing announcement on June 17 on the shop’s Facebook page.
The post said in part, “To our beloved customers/family/friends, we wanted to be the first to share the official news with you. After 52 years in business, we have made the bittersweet decision to close our doors.”
According to the post from Beth Angeloff and Mark Casedonte, the restaurant’s last day of normal business will be on Wednesday, July 17.
“It has been a pleasure serving this community for 50+ years and we were honored to continue our parent’s legacy,” the Facebook post said. “We have felt the love from everyone regarding this next chapter and hope to see all of you in the coming weeks as we say farewell to Donte’s.”

The restaurant posted to Facebook Monday saying that Wednesday is the official last day for the restaurant to be open and the last call for pizza and corned beef and cabbage orders.
“When they are gone, they are gone,” the post said.
According to the Donte’s Restaurant and Pizza Shop Facebook page, a ticketed “Last Call” celebration weekend will be held on July 19 and 20.
Donte’s Restaurant and Pizza Shop is open for carryout only on Tuesday. The final day of business will be Wednesday.
