Law & Order: SVU star Kelli Giddish returning for multiple episodes
Law & Order: SVU has confirmed the return of Kelli Giddish as Amanda Rollins for multiple episodes.
The character has been a mainstay of the show for much of its run, departing as a series regular in late 2022 – though has appeared as a guest in the recent 25th season.
Showrunner David Graziano has now revealed that she will be back in the fold in season 26 – and fans can expect numerous appearances too. Check out some set pictures below:

“Rollins is definitely coming back to the show,” he told TVLine. “She’s coming as a guest star, and she’s going to make a bunch of appearances throughout the season. We’re really happy about it.”
Executive producer Julie Martin further teased that the character will appear in a “bouquet of” episodes, though wasn’t able to “describe the size of the bouquet yet”.
Graziano explained that Rollins will be working with the New York police’s Intelligence Unit, adding that it is “very different from the Intelligence Unit anywhere else, because the Intelligence Unit in New York has cops stationed in almost every country in the world.
“And so, Rollins is going to be traveling a lot as part of that job,” he added.

The show boss went on to reassure fans that Rollins and husband Sonny are still married, and that her absence has given him a chance to develop his solo parenting.
“We’ll see Carisi and his daughter get involved in something together that they’ll kind of have to work their way out of,” he added.
Law & Order: SVU was renewed for season 26 earlier this year, while the main show was recommissioned for a 24th season.
Law & Order: SVU airs will return on Thursday, October 3 on NBC in the US. The show airs on Sky Witness in the UK, with select episodes available on NOW.
