Lawrence Dupre is top choice to fill vacant Erie County Legislature seat
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Lawrence Dupre was chosen as the Erie County Democratic Committee’s top choice to take over the vacant seat in the Erie County Legislature.
Dupre was chosen by committee members in District 1, which stretches from downtown Buffalo to Cheektowaga. The legislature is expected to vote on his appointment next week.
He currently serves as a community outreach staffer with the Erie County Central Police Services.
The seat was left vacant when Howard Johnson resigned in June after serving Erie County for more than five years.
