Legends of Tomorrow is losing two series regulars for season 5
As the Arrowverse as we know it continues to change, DC's Legends of Tomorrow has confirmed that two of its series regulars will soon be leaving the show.
Ahead of Legends of Tomorrow's fifth season, Deadline is reporting that Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer/Atom, and Courtney Ford, who plays Nora Darhk, will no longer be part of the Legends.
In a statement, the superhero series' executive producers said: "Brandon and Courtney have been invaluable members of the Legends family.
"They have always brought a level of passion and collaboration to their characters and to the show – both on and off the screen – that we deeply admire and for which we are eternally grateful."
Routh's Ray Palmer was first introduced to the Arrowverse through Arrow, before leading Legends of Tomorrow in season three. Routh's real-life wife, Courtney Ford, was promoted to a series regular in season four.

It's not all farewells, though – Matt Ryan, who plays Constantine, has been promoted to a series regular when Legends of Tomorrow returns for season five in 2020.
The rogue, cynical master of the dark arts was defeated in the season four finale earlier this year, but it has since been confirmed that the demonologist has a new job on his hands when another menacing new threat rears its head.
