Level 3 ‘Go Now’ evacuations issued in The Dalles along Bargeway Road
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Level 3 “Go Now” evacuations have been issued in The Dalles along Bargeway Road Friday evening due to a wildfire.
According to the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office, the evacuations span “from 2649 River Rd, all of Bargeway Rd and W. 1st Street from the intersection of W 1st Street and River Rd. to W. 1st Street and Bargeway Rd.”
Arrest made in Hillsboro shooting investigation
It’s unclear what the exact size of the fire is at this time.
KOIN 6 News reached out to the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office for more information about the fire. They responded, saying initial calls came in about the fire around 3:30 p.m.
“Crews arrived and found a wildfire about 3 acres. They were able to take care of the wildfire and subsequent spot fires,” a Wasco County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson told KOIN 6 News.

As of 7:11 p.m., crews were still working on putting out some storage unit fires at an Oregon Trail Storage facility, officials said.
As of 8 a.m. Saturday, the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office dropped all evacuations for the area.
The official cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
