First trailer for Lewis Hamilton's Formula 1 movie with Brad Pitt
Lewis Hamilton's upcoming Formula 1 movie has released its first trailer today (July 7) at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.
The movie, titled F1, stars Brad Pitt as a former driver who comes back into the fold, with Snowfall's Damson Idris, The Crown's Tobias Menzies and The Banshees of Inisherin's Kerry Condon also starring.

The trailer shows fast-changing clips from conception of new racing cars through to actual races, with Pitt in the driving seat defending his skills behind the wheel. Production has also continued at this weekend's Grand Prix event, with filming already taking place at many Grand Prix events worldwide.
Hamilton is credited as a producer on the project through his Dawn Apollo Films company, with Top Gun: Maverick's Joseph Kosinski on board as director.
The Formula 1 icon nearly had a further link with Top Gun, Hamilton revealing earlier this year that he tried to bag a role in 2022's Maverick, though when offered he was forced to turn it down due to scheduling issues.

Opening up about a past conversation with Tom Cruise, he told GQ: "I said, 'Dude, if you ever do Top Gun 2…'—which had not been spoken of, there was no story yet—'I will even be a janitor—just let me be in it'."
Recalling turning down an eventual offer to appear in Maverick due to scheduling issues, he added: "Firstly, I hadn't even had, like, an acting lesson. And I don't want to be the one that lets this movie down. And then secondly, I just really didn't have the time to dedicate to it."
Hamilton admitted that it "broke" his "heart", further reflecting: "And then I regretted it, naturally, when they show me the movie and it's: 'It could've been me!'"
F1 will be released in cinemas in summer 2025.
