Lisa Rinna praises daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin for revealing mental health struggles
Lisa Rinna is getting real about mental health.
The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star took to her Instagram story Monday to reveal what "started it all" for her daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin's mental health struggles.
According to Us Weekly and Entertainment Tonight, Hamlin revealed on her Instagram story Friday she left New York City in February, where she'd been attending NYU, and entered a rehabilitation facility for mental health reasons.

Hamlin wrote she shared her story "because it could help at least one person struggling with anxiety and or depression."
"First of all i want to say how proud I am of both of our girls," Rinna began her post. "I am in awe of how brave and courageous they are! In (regards) to Delilah's recent post, I think it's time to discuss the condition that started it all – PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcoal Infections)"
According to the National Institute of Mental Health: "A child may be diagnosed with PANDAS when: Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and/or tic disorders suddenly appear following a strep infection (such as strep throat or scarlet fever); or The symptoms of OCD or tic symptoms suddenly become worse following a strep infection."
However, the website for the Mayo Clinic cautions the connection between strep and PANDAS "remains unproved and controversial."

Children with PANDAS can experience ADHD symptoms, separation anxiety, mood changes, trouble sleeping, changes in motor skills and joint pains, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.
"In Delilah's case the condition was extreme and caused serious anxiety and multiple phobias," Rinna continued in her Instagram Story. "Thankfully we found the appropriate therapies and overtime she is doing much much better"
Rinna capped off her post with a link to more information about the disorder.
Rinna's other daughter, Amelia Gray, revealed earlier this year on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," how difficult her struggles with anorexia have been.
“No matter how many deaths anorexia causes, no matter how much blindness, no matter how much hair loss, all I cared about was the skinniness,” she told her mother. “It’s hard.”
