LIST: These St. Louis-area Fourth of July events are postponed due to weather
With the threat of inclement weather looming over the St. Louis area, many cities and events in the region are rescheduling their Fourth of July celebrations.
Washington, Mo.
The American Legion fireworks show is rescheduled for Friday, July 5th. The schedule for the event is listed below:
6 p.m.: Food and drinks will be available for sale, the kids zone will open, and the 4th Street Band will perform
9:25 p.m.: Presenting of the Colors presentation and the National Anthem will be performed
9:30 p.m.: Fireworks will begin
“These events cost a lot of money to put on…we’d rather be safe than sorry and not have to incur that extra cost,” chairman Tim Fowler said. “It’s supposed to be clear skies (Friday), so you’ll see the fireworks better than what you would if it were all cloudy out. I think it’s just going to be a better event all around.”
