LIVE BLOG: Downed trees, power lines cause damage across Cuyahoga County and more

(WJW) — Powerful storm winds knocked down power lines and toppled trees across Cuyahoga County and beyond on Tuesday afternoon.
Tornado warnings were issued for Cuyahoga and Lorain counties at 4 p.m. Tornado warnings for Geauga and Portage counties expired at 5:15 p.m. All of Northeast Ohio remained under a severe thunderstorm watch until that expired at 7 p.m.
Euclid Police Capt. Mitch Houser told the FOX 8 I-Team that officials are asking people who do not need to be in Euclid to avoid the area. Houser said several trees and power lines are down. Some streets are flooded but no injuries are reported at this time.
Avon Lake was hit hard by the storms, where strong winds and downed trees ripped off the front of a house on Cherry Street. Neighbors say the homeowner wasn’t home at the time.

At one point on Tuesday evening, more than 400,000 FirstEnergy customers were without power, mostly in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties, according to the utility.
A viewer also sent video of an uprooted tree in South Euclid:
