DNC kicks off with keynote speeches from Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama
The 2020 Democratic National Convention kicked off on Monday night. And like almost everything else amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the convention — which was originally supposed to take place in Milwaukee — will be held almost entirely online, with four days of live and pretaped speeches and musical performances, all streamed in primetime. The first night’s lineup featured Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Ohio GOP Gov. John Kasich and former first lady Michelle Obama, who delivered a stinging rebuke of the Trump presidency.
