NYC flooding full coverage: States of emergency declared as subways shut down, roadways underwater
Up to 8 inches of rain were possible in parts of New York and New Jersey on Friday, officials said. The NYC borough of Brooklyn already saw a half-foot of rain.
A state of emergency was declared across areas of New York on Friday as storms poured into the tristate area, flooding streets, homes and businesses as this became the wettest September in New York City in over 100 years. Subways and roadways were shut down and a state of emergency was later declared in New Jersey as well.
