LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — One local dog is being reunited with her family after she went missing years ago.

Very good girl Lucy Marie was recently brought into the Lorain County Dog Kennel in Elyria. When employees checked her microchip, they found her registered to a person in Florida, which seemed too far away.

‘No dog pee’ signs are everywhere. Can they be enforced?

When called, LCDK employees learned the dog had gone missing six years back when the family was still living in Lorain.

This weekend, the owner’s sister picked up the pup and plans to reunite the whole crew soon.

The Friends of Lorain County Dog Kennel Inc. said in a Facebook post this was a great reminder to always keep your pet’s microchip up to date. It was not clear where the dog has been during the last years away from her fam.
