Local school closes out of ‘abundance of caution’
ORRVILLE, Ohio (WJW) – Orrville City Schools are closed on Friday.
District superintendent David Toth tells FOX 8 that over the past two days the district has received “various perceived threats posted on social media.”

He said some of threats may have started outside the area and the school is working with the Orrville City Police Department to investigate the threats. But out of an abundance of caution decided to cancel classes for Friday, Sept. 13.
“We thought it would be prudent to close school today as we work with law enforcement on this investigation,” said Toth in an email.
Friday Night Touchdown continues for Week 4
According to a post on the the Orrville Police Department Facebook page, Friday night activities will still take place as scheduled.
