Lockport man charged with concealment of a human corpse

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Lockport man has been charged in connection with the apparent homicide of a man who was found in March in the Town of Alabama, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.

It is alleged that 45-year-old Norman DuBois, also known as “Bud,” conspired with other parties to conceal the body of 59-year-old Michael Poole of Olcott. Poole was found dead on March 19 in Alabama following a missing person investigation out of Niagara County.

On April 19, a Lockport woman was charged with second-degree murder in connection with Poole’s death.

DuBois has been charged with the following:

  • concealment of a human corpse

  • fifth-degree conspiracy

  • hinder prosecution

  • tampering with physical evidence

He was arraigned on June 28 and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice.

DuBois is scheduled to appear in court July 16.
