Longtime director of New Mexico’s Administrative Office of the Courts to retire

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The man who oversees how state courts operate is calling it a career after nearly two decades on the job. Artie Pepin will retire as director for the Administrative Office of the Courts on October 1 after having served in the role since 2006.

Legislative Finance Committee reviews wildfire mitigation efforts in Ruidoso

Under Pepin, the courts improved how they used technology to manage cases and file documents. He also worked with then Supreme Court Justice Charlie Daniels to encourage the state to do away with the bail system.

The current deputy director, Karl Reifsteck, will replace Pepin.
