The recent report ranked beaches on four factors - safety, beach quality, weather, and hotel costs.

In the United States list, Gunnison Beach at Sandy Hook came in at number 11.

Gunnison Beach is located in Middletown Township and is part of the Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area. The beach is on federal land and is a New Jersey clothing-optional beach.
