LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) – It’s been a whirlwind week for Mary Caudill of Lorain.

The Northeast Ohio woman won a staggering prize on an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket.

Mary Caudill of Lorain recently bought a Maximum Millions scratch-off ticket for $20.

She won the top prize, according to the Ohio Lottery.

It’s $80,000 a year for 25 years, a $2 million prize!

She chose the cash option. She’ll take home $720,000 after taxes.

It’s a blessing for Caudill and her three children and 2-year-old grandson Landon.

“We found out at 3 months old he had cirrhosis of the liver. He had his first transplant at 6 months old,” she said.

Since then, Landon has had more than 30 surgeries, and Mary’s son Jacob gave Landon a portion of his liver.

“My nephews are here, my parents are here and we are doing pretty good right now,” Caudill said.

Caudill said she will continue working and putting her family first.

“So with this money I’m gonna buy this house, I’m gonna buy my son’s car so he’s out of debt, I’m gonna give my daughter a car,” she said. “It’s a life-changing moment. But I won’t change my ways. I’m still a giving person and I always will be.”

It’s the largest payout ever at Pearl Ave Exxon in Lorain, which sold the winning ticket.

There are two other top prizes remaining in Maximum Millions as of Aug. 15, according to the Ohio Lottery.
