Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, Congressman Steve Scalise discuss Hurricane Francine recovery in Southeast Louisiana

KENNER, La. (WGNO) — Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry and Congressman Steve Scalise are touring the damage left by Hurricane Francine.

Landry and Scalise met with other local officials on Friday, Sept. 13, to discuss Hurricane Francine recovery efforts at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

Water conservation notices lifted across several parishes after Hurricane Francine

Landry requested emergency federal assistance earlier this week, and President Joe Biden approved that request.

Francine made landfall in Terrebonne Parish on Wednesday, Sept. 11, leaving behind flooding, wind damage and power outages.
