Louisiana man accused of breaking into vehicles in Iberville Parish arrested

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with multiple car burglaries in Iberville Parish.

Xavier Strange, 22, of Donaldsonville, was arrested and charged with three counts of vehicle burglary. The sheriff’s office said the arrest came after multiple vehicles were broken into at parking lots on work sites in Iberville Parish.

Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi said additional charges are expected to be filed against Strange.

This arrest comes months after the sheriff’s office warned residents of the increase in car burglaries after several arrests were made in connection with multiple car burglaries in and around the Plaquemine area in May.
